China Airlines has expanded its services by introducing a new daily flight route connecting Taichung and Okinawa. This development enhances the airline’s presence in Japan and increases its total weekly round-trip flights between Taiwan and Japan to over 170. The newly launched service is operated using an Airbus A321neo aircraft, with Flight CI310 departing from Taichung at 10:00 a.m. and arriving in Okinawa at 12:40 p.m. The return flight, CI311, leaves Okinawa at 1:40 p.m. and lands back in Taichung at 2:10 p.m.
Further plans are in place to bolster this route with an additional daily service starting August 13. Flight CI312 is scheduled to leave Taichung at 3:20 p.m., reaching Okinawa by 6:00 p.m. The return journey via Flight CI313 will take off from Okinawa at 7:00 p.m., arriving in Taichung at 7:30 p.m. This expansion reflects the airline’s commitment to enhancing connectivity within the region.
With the introduction of these new services, together with existing routes from Taipei and Kaohsiung, China Airlines will be operating approximately 30 round-trip flights to Okinawa each week. This significant increase in flight frequency underscores the airline’s strategy to fortify travel links between Taiwan and Japan, catering to both business and leisure travelers.
The expansion of services not only strengthens the airline’s network but also provides additional travel options for passengers, thus boosting tourism and economic ties between the two regions. This move is part of China Airlines’ broader effort to enhance its operational capacity and meet the growing demand for travel between Taiwan and Japan.
